Blue Eco Line is among the companies honoured in the 2025 edition of the “Amerigo Vespucci” Tuscany Innovation Award, the recognition dedicated to Tuscan companies that stand out for research and technological, digital and sustainable innovation.
During the award ceremony, held in the Sala delle Feste of Palazzo Bastogi in Florence, Blue Eco Line received the prize in the Young enterprise category with the River Cleaner – Marina di Grosseto project.
Representing the company at the ceremony was Michael Mugnai, CTO of Blue Eco Line, who attended the event and collected the award on behalf of the team.
The recognition reflects the company's work in developing innovative solutions to counter plastic pollution in waterways, intervening before waste reaches the sea.
River Cleaner is a system designed to intercept and collect floating waste in rivers through a floating barrier and a collection device powered by renewable sources. The technology also integrates monitoring and data analysis tools, with the aim of making the environmental management of river waste more efficient.
For Blue Eco Line, this award is an important institutional recognition of the work done and confirms the value of an approach that combines sustainability, innovation and concrete protection of aquatic ecosystems.
